FLORIDA OUTLAW DRESS REQUIEMENTS FOR COMPETITIORS
Male Competitors-Male competitors shall be required to wear "Traditional, Western Cowboy" Style clothing. The minimum consist of:
---Traditional western cowboy style long sleeved shirt. Sleeve must be wrist length and buttoned at the cuff while competing. (Sleeves may not be rolled up.) Long sleeve Henley type shorts with buttons are acceptable.
---A traditional western style cowboy hat or protective headwear.
---Traditional western style cowboy boots.
---Traditional button fly styled western pants. Jeans may only be worn with chaps or chicks.
Female Competitors-Female competitors shall be required to dress in "Traditional, Western Cowgirl" Style clothing. The minimum dress requirements are:
---Ladies may wear short or long sleeve western cowgirl or Victorian style shirt, peasant blouse or camisole.
---A traditional western cowgirl style hat, protective headwear or other ladies hats that complete the period correct look.
---Traditional western cowgirl style boots or high-topped Victorian- style lace up shoes.
---Traditional button fly styled western pants. Jeans may only be worn with chaps or chinks. A 19th century styled full length, full skirt or dress may be worn short sleeve or sleeveless. Spanish, Indian style or saloon girl dress is acceptable. Hats are not required when wearing a full length, full skirt or dress.
Split riding skirts are considered trousers therefore a hat will be required.
Accoutrements-Accoutrements are strongly encouraged. They may include, but are not limited to the following: gloves or gauntlets, scarves with slides or tied around the neck, coat, jacket, vest, frock coats, dusters chaps, cuffs, belts or buckles, period watch, hatbands, sleeve garters, knife in sheath, botas, leggings, suspenders, or sashes, stockings, bustles, hoops, and corsets. Other items to complete a look such as Mexican Sombreros, Native American style headbands with feathers and moccasins are acceptable.
Outlawed-The use of any outlawed item is a Stage Disqualification.
---Short sleeve shirts (Male competitors only).
---Tee shirts, long or short, and tank tops for all competitors.
---Spandex or other modern body hugging material, fitted tops.
---Ball Caps.
---All types of athletic shoes or combat boots.
---Promotional or sponsors logos on tack or clothing are forbidden. Manufacturer's clothing labels are acceptable.
